Every second woman in Montenegro has been a victim of violence at some point in her lifetime, while 1 in 5 women reading this text has suffered violence during the last year. The latest  survey reveals these staggering figures and for the first time an estimate of the cost of violence.

Svaka druga žena u Crnoj Gori bila je žrtva nasilja u nekom trenutku u životu, dok je 1 od 5 žena koje čitaju ovaj tekst pretrpjelo nasilje tokom prošle godine. Najnovije istraživanje o nasilju u porodici i nasilju nad ženama otkriva ove zabrinjavajuće podatke i prvi put u Crnoj Gori imamo procjenu cijene nasilja.

EUROPEAN VACCINE ACTION PLAN

Montenegro hosted WHO European Regional meeting of National Immunization Programme Managers which gathered 180 participants from 44 Member States to discuss European Vaccine Action Plan 2015-2020 (EVAP). The objectives of the meeting were to present and discuss the progress and challenges in meeting the five strategic objectives of the European Vaccine Action Plan, exchange experiences, promising practices and country case studies and to define key priority areas for accelerated action under each strategic objective.

EVROPSKI AKCIONI PLAN ZA VAKCINACIJU

Crna Gora je bila domaćin evropskog regionalnog sastanka nacionalnih menadžera SZO za imunizacione programe koji je okupio 180 učesnika iz 44 države članice kako bi razgovarali o Evropskom akcionom planu za vakcinaciju 2015-2020 (EVAP). Učesnici skupa su razmatrali glavne izazove u ispunjavanju pet strateških ciljeva Evropskog akcionog plana za vakcinu i definisali prioritetne oblasti za ubrzanu akciju u okviru svakog strateškog cilja. Takodje su razmjenili iskustva i pozitivne prakse i analizirali konkretne studije slučaja.

CROSS-SECTORAL COOPERATION LEADS TO EMPOWERMENT OF ADOLESCENTS

What kind of support do adolescents in Montenegro have to achieve their full potential? This was the central topic of the conference "The power of adolescence", where representatives of relevant institutions, civil sector, adolescents, University of Montenegro and the private sector had the opportunity to exchange opinions on the best ways to support adolescents in Montenegro in order to achieve their full potential.

WHY SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT?

UNECE gathered relevant international stakeholders for a two-day regional workshop to jointly pursue strengthening the transport-related and trade-related knowledge and expertise. The workshop helped participants better understand how the SDGs affect their day-to-day business and how they can benefit from the activities related to the SDGs.

ZAŠTO ODRŽIVI TRANSPORT?

UNECE je okupila relevantne međunarodne aktere na dvodnevnu regionalnu radionicu kako bi zajednički radili na jačanju znanja i eskpertize vezanih za transport i trgovinu. Radionica je pomogla učesnicima da bolje razumiju kako Ciljevi održivog razvoja utiču na njihov svakodnevni posao i kako mogu imati koristi od aktivnosti koje se odnose na Agendu 2030.

EUROPEAN ANTI-TRAFFICKING DAY

A meeting focusing on “Role of Media in Combating Human Trafficking” gathered representatives from the sector to discuss the role and importance of the media in fighting human trafficking. The event was hosted by IOM Montenegro in cooperation with the National Office for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and the Ministry of Culture. In parallel, an art exhibition for secondary schools on the topic “ Stop Trafficking in Human Beings” was organised with the Ministry of Education.

EVROPSKI DAN BORBE PROTIV TRAFIKINGA

Koordinacija procesa pregovaranja o pridruživanju članstvu u EU je zahtjevan zadatak koji podrazumijeva snažne kapacitete unutar novoformiranog Ministarstva za evropske poslove Crne Gore. Kako bi odgovorili na izazove tog tipa, kapaciteti Ministarstva će se uvećati kroz novi projekat UNDP-a koji će se, uz finansijsku podršku Vlade Norveške, fokusirati na tri ključna područja planiranja, pregovaranja i koordinacije, sa sveobuhvatnim ciljem izgradnje odgovarajućih i odgovornih institucija.

GUIDELINES FOR THE PREVENTION
OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES

The World Health Organization (WHO) presented guidelines for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, and one of the recommended measures is introduction of the vaccination for human papillomavirus (HPV), which is the cause of intestinal bowel cancer. The World Health Organization has warned that sexually transmitted diseases are a very serious global public health problem, which requires countries to focus on prevention. 


SMJERNICE ZA PREVENCIJU SEKSUALNO PRENOSIVIH BOLESTI

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (SZO) je predstavila smjernice za prevenciju polno prenosivih bolesti, a jedna od preporučenih mjera je uvođenje vakcinacije za human papillomavirus (HPV), što je uzrok raka debelog crijeva. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija upozorila je da su bolesti koje se prenose seksualnim putem veoma ozbiljan globalni javni zdravstveni problem, koji zahtijeva od zemalja da se fokusiraju na prevenciju.

LIVING STATUES BREAK THE SILENCE ON VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN WITHOUT ANY WORDS

Within the #ENDviolence campaign, all over Montenegro, living statues break the silence on violence against children without any words. During August and September 2017, citizens of many Montenegrin municipalities will have opportunities to bump into these living statues, learn about the recently launched SOS parents’ line, think about the best parenting practices and support the #EndViolence campaign on social media.

ŽIVE STATUE BEZ RIJEČI PREKIDAJU
TIŠINU O NASILJU NAD DJECOM

U okviru kampanje #ZAUSTAVIMOnasilje, širom Crne Gore, žive statue bez riječi prekidaju tišinu o nasilju nad djecom. Tokom avgusta i septembra 2017, građani mnogobrojnih crnogorskih opština imaće priliku da naiđu na ove žive statue, upoznaju se sa SOS roditeljskom linijom, razmisle o najboljim roditeljskim praksama i podrže kampanju #ZaustavimoNasilje preko društvenih mreža.

A STEP FURTHER IN ENSURING
DOCUMENTS FOR KOSOVO REFUGEES 

The biometric mobile team of Kosovo's Ministry of the Interior conducted their 14th visit to Montenegro as part of the 2011 agreement between Montenegrin and Kosovar authorities on civil registration of Kosovo refugees residing in Montenegro, many of whom are Roma and Egyptians. The three-day mission was facilitated by UNHCR in Podgorica and Priština with a view to providing Kosovo refugees with identity documents that will enable them to regularize their legal status. The team handed out 18 identity documents, received 13 new applications for issuing documentation from Kosovo and conducted 25 interviews. 


KORAK DALJE U OBEZBJEĐIVANJU
DOKUMENATA ZA RASELJENE SA KOSOVA

Biometrijski mobilni tim kosovskog Ministarstva unutrašnjih poslova boravio je po 14-i put u Crnoj Gori u sklopu sporazuma iz 2011. godine između crnogorskih i kosovskih vlasti o upisu u registre kosovskih izbjeglica koje borave u Crnoj Gori, od kojih su mnogi Romi i Egipćani. Trodnevnu misiju pomogle su kancelarije UNHCR-a u Podgorici i Prištini kako bi se raseljenim sa Kosova obezbijedila lična dokumenta koja će im omogućiti da regulišu pravni status. Mobilni tim je uručio 18 ličnih isprava, primio 13 novih zahtjeva za izdavanje dokumentacije sa Kosova i sproveo 25 intervjua.

SAFER MONTENEGRO - SAFER REGION

Large amounts of surplus ammunition pose a major threat to public safety. Without secure storage, ammunition can be stolen, trafficked or used for other criminal purposes. Montenegro disposed of 21,416 pieces of ammunition collected during the campaign “Respect Life, Surrender Weapons”. By doing so, we are taking part in joint actions towards building a safer region. UNDP joined forces with the Ministry of the Interior, OSCE, CDT, with financial support of the EU (through UNDP SEESAC) and German Embassy.

BEZBJEDNIJA CRNA GORA - BEZBJEDNIJI REGION

Velike količine naoružanja i viška municije predstavljaju veliku prijetnju po sigurnost građana. Bez sigurnog skladištenja, postoji rizik od krađe, trgovine i korištenja munciije u kriminalne svrhe. Kao doprinos izgradnji sigurnijeg regiona, Crna Gora uništila je 21.416 komada municije sakupljenih tokom kampanje "Poštuj život, vrati oružje". UNDP kampanju sprovodi u saradnji sa Ministarstvom unutrašnjih poslova, OEBS-om, CDT, uz finansijsku podršku EU (kroz UNDP SEESAC) i Njemačke ambasade.

WORLD POST DAY: CHILDREN WROTE ABOUT SDGs TO THE UN SECRETARY GENERAL

Nikolina Milić from Danilovgrad ranked fifth on a global 2017 International Letter-Writing Competition for Young People competition. On the occasion of International Post Day Nikolina was awarded the first place on a national competition for the best essay letter to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. Within the competition for schoolchildren for the best essay letter on SDGs to the UN Secretary General, 10 best ranked authors have been awarded on the World Post Day 2017 organised at the UN Eco House.

SVJETSKI DAN POŠTE: DJECA PISALA GENERALNOM SEKRETARU UN

Nikolina Milić iz Danilovgrada osvojila je petu poziciju na svjetskom takmičenju za najbolje pismo Generalnom sekretaru UN Antoniu Guterešu, nakon što je osvojila prvo mjesto na nacionalnom takmičenju. Prilikom obilježanja Svjetskog dana Pošte u Eko zgradi UN u Podgorici uručene su nagrade za 10 najboljih autora.

Towns across Montenegro under the coordination of UNDP country office celebrated European Mobility Week 2017 focusing on clean, shared and intelligent mobility. By using shared forms of transport we can reduce our expenses and lower our carbon footprint. European Mobility Week ended with the Car Free Day.

U gradovima širom Crne Gore obilježena je Evropska nedelja mobilnosti 2017. sa fokusom na čistu, zajedničku i inteligentnu mobilnost. Korišćenjem zajedničkih vidova transporta možemo smanjiti naše troškove i smanjiti svoj karbonski otisak. Evropska nedelja mobilnosti, koju je u saradnji s partnerima organizovala kancelarija UNDP u Crnoj Gori, završena je Danom bez automobila.

DIGITAL LITERACY
FOR EVERY CHILD IN MONTENEGRO

One in two children in Montenegro aged 9 to 17 do not feel safe online, revealed UNICEF’s last year survey conducted within the End Violence Online campaign. This research findings, which also show that 20 per cent of parents do not use internet, motivated Telenor to support the End Violence Online campaign implemented by UNICEF and the Government of Montenegro.

DIGITALNA PISMENOST
ZA SVAKO DIJETE U CRNOJ GORI

Svako drugo dijete u Crnoj Gori uzrasta od 9 do 17 godina se ne osjeća bezbjedno na internetu, pokazalo je prošlogodišnje istraživanje UNICEF-a koje je sprovedeno u okviru kampanje "Zaustavimo nasilje onlajn". Nalazi tog istraživanja, koje je ukazuje i da 20 odsto roditelja ne koristi internet, bili su važan motiv za kompaniju Telenor da podrži nastavak kampanje "Zaustavimo nasilje onlajn", koju UNICEF sprovodi u saradnji sa Vladom Crne Gore.

SCHOOLS ANTI-IDLING INITIATIVE

After schools in Podgorica UNDP continues its Anti-idling initiative with schools in Budva and Niksic. A great deal of idling takes place at schools, where cars line up to drop off and pick up children, and the children end up breathing the exhaust. Air pollution from diesel vehicles has health implications for everyone, but children are more susceptible to this pollution because their respiratory systems are not fully developed.

INICIJATIVA "UGASI MOTOR" U BLIZINI ŠKOLA

Nakon škola u Podgorici, UNDP nastavlja svoju inicijativu "Ugasi motor" sa školama u Budvi i Nikšiću. Veliki opseg emimsija izduvnih gasova iz automobila odvija se u blizini škola, gde roditelji automobilima dolaze po djecu. Zagađenje vazduha od vozila na vozilima ima zdravstvene implikacije za sve, ali su deca podložnija ovoj zagađenosti jer njihovi respiratorni sistemi nisu u potpunosti razvijeni.
