NETWORKING IN CLUSTERS FOR
SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS

On the occasion of closing the IPA 2011 project “Enhancing the Competitiveness of Local SMEs in Montenegro through Cluster Development” an event was organised to promote key results and to gather representatives of clusters and project partners. The project financed by the EU, implemented by the Ministry of Economy, UNIDO with the support of UNDP, aimed at networking of small and medium enterprises in business clusters in order to increase their competitiveness.

ZAVRŠEN IPA 2011 PROJEKAT USMJEREN NA JAČANJE BIZNIS KLASTERA

Povodom zatvaranja IPA projekta „Jačanje konkurentnosti lokalnih malih i srednjih preduzeća u Crnoj Gori kroz razvoj klastera” organizovan je događaj na kom su predstavljeni ključni rezultati i koji je okupio partnere. Projekat koji je finansirala Delegacija EU u Crnoj Gori a koji su implementirali ministarstvo ekonomije i UNIDO, uz podrsku UNDP, imao je za cilj povezivanje malih i srednjih preduzeca u klastere sa ciljem unapređenja pristupa tržištu i uvećanja konkurentnosti.

EVIDENCE BASED POLICY MAKING
TO BENEFIT ALL CHILDREN IN MONTENEGRO

With UNICEF’s support, prof. Franziska Gassmann from Maastricht University held a workshop on evidence based policy making. Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Zorica Kovačević and UNICEF Montenegro Representative Benjamin Perks opened the workshop, which was attended by high officials of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and Institute for Social and Child Protection and directors of the Centres of Social Work.

IZRADA POLITIKA ZASNOVANIH NA PODACIMA U KORIST SVE DJECE U CRNOJ GORI

Uz podršku UNICEF-a, profesorica Franciska Gasman sa Mastriht univerziteta održala je radionicu o osmišljavanju politika na osnovu pouzdanih podataka. Radionicu su otvorili ministarka rada i socijalnog staranja Zorica Kovačević i šef predstavništva UNICEF-a u Crnoj Gori Bendžamin Perks, a pohađali su je visoki zvaničnici Ministarstva rada i socijalnog staranja i Zavoda za socijalnu i dječju zaštitu i direktori centara za socijalni rad.

YEMENI FAMILY REUNITED IN MONTENEGRO AFTER YEARS APART

Through joint efforts of UNHCR and IOM in Montenegro and Yemen, a Yemeni family of six was reunited in Montenegro after having been separated for four years. The father, who was granted refugee status in Montenegro in 2012, had an emotional reunion at Podgorica Airport with his wife and four children, whom he last saw when he fled his home country. The one-year long reunification process was quite complex, as it involved passport and visa arrangements.


PORODICA IZ JEMENA PONOVO ZAJEDNO NAKON ČETIRI GODINE

Zajedničkim naporima UNHCR i IOM u Crnoj Gori i Jemenu, šestočlana jemenska porodica ponovo se spojila u Crnoj Gori nakon što je bila razdvojena 4 godine. Otac, kojem je u Crnoj Gori dodijeljen status izbjeglice 2012. godine, imao je emotivan ponovni susret na podgoričkom aerodromu sa svojom ženom i četvoro djece, koje je posljednji put vidio kada je usljed progona pobjegao iz svoje zemlje. Jednogodišnji proces spajanja porodice bio je vrlo složen, jer je podrazumijevao rješavanje pitanja u vezi sa pasošem i vizom.

A STEP FURTHER IN ADVANCING RIGHTS OF ASYLUM SEEKERS AND MIGRANTS

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) organized a conference to mark the closure of the project "Streamlining the asylum and mixed migration system in Montenegro", implemented by the IOM Office in Montenegro, UNHCR and the Government of Montenegro. The 18-month project funded by the EU Delegation in Montenegro focused on providing adequate protection, fair treatment and assistance to asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants in Montenegro, as well as on strengthening the country on its EU path.


UNAPREĐENJE SISTEMA AZILA I MIJEŠANIH MIGRACIJA U CRNOJ GORI

Međunarodna organizacija za migracije (IOM) organizovala je konferenciju povodom završetka implementacije projekta ”Unapređenje sistema azila i miješanih migracija u Crnoj Gori” koji su od septembra 2014. zajednički sprovodili Kancelarija IOM u Podgorici, u saradnji sa UNHCR i Vladom Crne Gore. Projekat, koji je finansirala Delegacija EU u Crnoj Gori, bio je usmjeren na obezbjeđivanje adekvatne zaštite, fer tretmana i pomoći tražiocima azila i ranjivoj grupi migranata u Crnoj Gori, kao i na jačanje države na putu ka EU.

AGAINST VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN!

For the fourth year in a row, Podgorica took part in One Billion Rising, the biggest activist movement in the history of the international fight against violence against women. Women and men from all walks of life gathered at the capital main square to dance, protest and empower victims to report violence and BREAK THE CHAIN.

Četvrtu godinu zaredom, Podgorica je bila dio globalne akcije “Jedna milijarda ustaje”, najmasovnijeg međunaordnog aktivističkog pokreta u istoriji borbe protiv nasilja nad ženama. Žene i muškarci okupili su se da plesom iskažu protest protiv nasilja nad ženama i ohrabre žrtve da prijave nasilje i PREKINU LANAC.

BICYCLE RIDE CRITICAL MASS DEDICATED TO PARIS AGREEMENT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

More than 150 cyclists took part in a 29th Critical Mass bicycle ride in Montenegrin capital organised by the NGO Bicycle.me in cooperation with the UN System in Montenegro and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The event was dedicated to recently adopted Paris Agreement on climate change, signed by 195 countries, including Montenegro, at the historic Paris Climate Conference COP21.

29. BICIKLISTIČKA VOŽNJA "CRITICAL MASS" POSVEĆENA PARISKOM SPORAZUMU

Više od 150 biciklista učestvovalo je u 29. po redu biciklističkoj vožnji Critical Mass koju su organizovali NVO Biciklo.me, Sistem UN u Crnoj Gori i Ministarstvo vanjskih poslova i evropskih integracija Crne Gore u znak nedavno usvojenog Pariskog sporazuma o klimatskim promjenama, koji je potpisalo 195 zemalja uključujući i Crnu Goru.

RECOGNIZED AS AN INNOVATIVE POLICY

At the award ceremony of the Zero Project Conference, „It's about ability“ campaign, initiated by UNICEF and the Government of Montenegro, was awarded as innovative policy in the competition of almost 400 inclusive practices and policies worldwide. Zero Project, an initiative of the Essl Foundation, focuses on the rights of persons with disabilities globally.

KAMPANJA “GOVORIMO O MOGUĆNOSTIMA” PROGLAŠENA ZA INOVATIVNU POLITIKU

Tokom ceremonije dodjele nagrada u okviru Zero Project konferencije, kampanja „Govorimo o mogućnostima“, koju su pokrenuli UNICEF i Vlada Crne Gore, proglašena je za inovativnu politiku u konkurenciji od skoro 400 inkluzivnih politika i modela dobre prakse širom svijeta. Zero Project, inicijativa fondacije Essl, usmjerena je na prava osoba sa smetnjama u razvoju širom svijeta.

UNDP COMMEMORATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY: AN INVESTMENT IN UN’S KEY ROLE IN DEVELOPMENT

As it marks 50 years at the frontlines of international development, UNDP should be seen as an investment in the UN’s critical role in helping to build a world free of poverty and inequality,” said UNDP Administrator Helen Clark at the Ministerial Meeting organised to mark the organisation’s anniversary. The Ministerial Meeting gathered representatives of more than 150 UN member states, including more than 80 Presidents, Prime Ministers and Ministers who joined the forces to map the future of global development.

PEDESETOGODIŠNJICA UNDP: INVESTICIJA U KLJUČNU RAZVOJNU ULOGU UN 

„Sada kada obilježavamo pedesetogodišnjicu postojanja i pružanja podrške međunarodnom razvoju, Program Ujedinjenih nacija za razvoj (UNDP) treba posmatrati kao investiciju u ključnu ulogu UN u izgradnji svijeta bez siromaštva i nejednakosti,“ izjavila je Helen Klark, glavna administratorka UNDP, prilikom zatvaranja Ministarskog sastanka koji je organizovan povodom obilježavanja pedesetogodišnjice UNDP. Predstavnici više od 150 zemalja članica UN, uključujući 80 predsjednika, premijera i ministara, sastali su se u Generalnoj skupštini UN u Njujorku kako bi zacrtali budućnost globalnog razvoja.
