Media training on education for low carbon/sustainable development

The Centre for Sustainable Development has developed training and education program customized to equip journalists to report on sustainable/low carbon tourism development. When people at the grass-root level are made aware of the importance of protecting the environment, they are able to make better decisions and join in the world's efforts to achieve low carbon/sustainable living. The media can play a major role in educating the public about low carbon development but, this can only happen if journalists/ media practitioners are trained on how to be effective partners in low carbon development. The objectives of the workshop were to equip reporters with knowledge and skills to report on issues of sustainability, and to raise awareness about threats to sustainable development.
